Facts about Cidney

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Cidney is a 3-4 year old yellow lab mix. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, lymes positive, and has been flea treated and wormed. Cidney is housebroken, leash trained, loves chasing her ball, spending time seeking treats out of her favorite Kong, going on walks, and hanging with people. Cidney is cat friendly and seems to do well with male dogs but does tend to have issues with females. A bladder tumor was removed during her spaying surgery that turned out to be benign. During the two months that she has been in foster care, she has had three small episodes of what has been determined as seizures. It is more like she just goes limp, no stress, no trauma, just weakness that lasts only a few minutes. (Looks more like she is in deep thought, or meditating.) She rebounds rapidly, no medications required at this time, only requirement is a quality food. This condition will have to be monitored, as it may stay the same, progress or regress. Either way it should not take away the opportunity to give this wonderful dog a home. Cidney is an absolutely amazing and loving dog. Please consider giving her a chance at a family she's never had.

About Helping Hearts & Healing Tails Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small foster based rescue, not a shelter, comprised of multiple individuals that open their homes to stray, sick, and forgotten animals in need. We began the rescue in the Ligonier Area to focus on issues of stray, abandoned, and neglected animals. We often took in animals for the local police departments instead of having them sent to animal control. We have since expanded and try to cooperate with the public, other rescues, and other animal groups to assist any animal in need. Our primary focus area for intake though is still the Ligonier Valley. Adoptions can be made to any area as long as the adoption process is completed.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Arrangements can be made to visit with any of our pets, but because we are foster based and do not have one facility, appointments must be made to do so. To visit with a pet, please contact us at 814-421-7078 by phone or text.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process consists of an initial application for the animal of interest, followed by reference checks (both personal and with a veterinarian), a home visit, and finally if approved an adoption contract. All animals are required to be inside companion pets and the owner must maintain veterinary care throughout the life of the animal.

Adoption fees are $150 for dogs, unless it fostered through us for another rescue and $75 for cats.

All animals are up to date with vaccinations and spayed/neutered before adoption.
