My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aroooo!! It's me, Dalton, a wonderful, beautiful 10 year old tricolor beagle boy. I was adopted by a family and returned to Arizona Beagle Rescue. The family that adopted me had a cat that didn't like me, and they chose the cat over me. I can get along with cats, and with dogs that are my size or smaller. I get a little intimidated by larger dogs. I just have an alpha nature about me, and need to be introduced to cats and new dogs slowly. I love to go to the AZBR Adoption events and have lots of doggie friends in foster homes!

I love to be around kids and I am great with them. I am a little bit food obsessive (I am a beagle, after all!), so would need to be watched very closely around small kids with food. I walk well on a leash, and have a super-soft coat. I love my people and I'm really one loving boy. I do hope that this time I can get into a famiy that will keep me with them forever. That is all I want, just my forever home.

If you are looking for an apartment dog, I would be perfect! Of course, I would be great in a regular home, too. My foster parents say I might be best as an only dog. I am afraid of dogs bigger than me and love to have all the attention. I'll snuggle with you and watch tv on the couch for as long as you want. I love to take long walks. Pick up my leash and I'll do a little dance for you! I have never gone potty in the house at my foster home, and they don't even have a dog door! I have to wait until my foster mom puts her shoes on to go outside, so I am really good on a schedule. I am crate trained and know the command "go home." If you are looking for a gentle friend I am your boy! I just really want to find a family that will love me forever
