My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thaddeus is looking for a home in St. Louis, Missouri.

After all he's been through, you'd think this cat would be depressed, but all he wants is love. He wants to sit next to you or in your lap while gently making biscuits. And every once in a while he will look up at you and give you a head bonk or a kitty kiss. He's a friendly, outgoing guy who wants to get the most out of life now that he has a chance to know safety.

Thaddeus somehow wound up on the streets where he lived as a stray. At some point, someone shot him several times. A kind woman began to feed him and got him to rescue. He tests positive for FIV, had some bullets removed, and came down with a bad case of mycoplasma (a flea-borne blood parasite). And after that, he suffered from idiopathic cystitis, which caused him to squat in the litter box without producing urine. The vet determined he was not blocked, but he needs prescription food and a stress-free environment, which for him means living with fewer cats than he has around him in foster care.

At this point Thaddeus is healthy and happy to be alive, and now all his life energy is focused on receiving and dispensing love. That's all he wants, all he thinks about--- he's a cat who has been through enough pain to know his priorities. He's be happy as an only cat or living with a couple of peaceful cats.

Thaddeus could sure use a true friend and a stable home! Can you help?
