ADDIE's Story...
If you are interested in ADDIE, or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application.

Please email the completed application to kerri.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.

ADDIE is smart, beautiful, and a wonderful soul. She aims to please all the dogs and people she meets. She doesn't feel the need to be the boss. At just 14 weeks old, this girl is crate trained and sits by the back door when she needs to go potty! She has very nice manners for a puppy and is a fantastic mix of snuggle and play. This girl finds joy in all activities and loves to explore everything.
ADDIE came to a Woof River event and was a star! She was a shining example of how we wish all dogs and puppies behaved. ADDIE is great on car rides and gets along with every dog she meets. This big beautiful girl could easily be 80-100 lbs at maturity. She will be a great family dog or loyal companion. ADDIE will fill the hearts of her forever family for a lifetime.

ADDIE is spayed, microchipped and up to sate on all vaccinations.
Her $475 adoption fee includes the cost of her transport after she is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ADDIE, a Knoxville Rhodesian Ridgeback/English Mastiff puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback/English Mastiff for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback/English Mastiff puppy from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback/English Mastiff breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback/English Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
