Here's what the humans have to say about me:
****ADOPTION PENDING**** Chester is a 50 pound, male Australian Shepard that just showed up at a rural farm one day and never left. The farmer determined that he was not just a visiting neighborhood dog but one that had been “dumped” in the country. He had no collar and no microchip. We were contacted to see if we could help this poor fellow. He was at high risk of being killed by cayotes since he was missing a leg making him less able to defend himself from predators. Of course, we said “Yes” we would take him and got him to our vet asap. He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. Unfortunately, he tested light positive for heartworms and this is being handled using the doxycycline protocol. Chester is maybe 2-3 years old but his foster mom thinks he is even younger. He is very energetic, playful and of course extremely smart. He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. He is good with other dogs too. If you would like to adopt Chester please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out our online adoption application. You can find the link to our on-line adoption application at www.arfarkansas.com on the right hand side of our home page. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember our organization is staffed completely by volunteers.
