Gunpher's Story...
Gumpher is a 100 pound 8 month old Great Pyrenees/Anatolia Shepherd mix. Gumpher needs someone that will spend time working on good manners- He is dog & cat friendly, crate trained and housebroken. He's a big goofy, friendly boy that lived with 2 toddlers, unfortunately the kids thought Gumpher was a mini pony. Gumpher had to be placed on crate rest for 2 weeks to give his back and legs a chance to recover. Gumpher is now off medical hold and is looking for a family with a big yard, lots of toys and someone that wants to work with him so he can be a wonderful companion dog. Gumpher is not a night barker as his breed would suggest- though he does need to be leash walked or have a fenced yard.
neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative and on prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gunpher, a Florence Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Florence, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Florence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Florence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Florence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Florence paves the way for another one to be saved.
