Meet the sweetest and most adorable 9 year old Labrador-Bulldog mix, Miss Roxanne! Roxy weighs 58lbs and was rescued from a high kill shelter where she became way too thin and fragile. Now that she has been rescued and is in foster care- Roxanne is now flourishing! This very loving girl truly digs being touched, groomed and is so affectionate. Roxanne loves to have her personal massages and prefers to sit on your lap! In foster care Roxy has gotten very healthy and happy and has learned many new tricks. Roxanne is a lovable “leaner” and would enjoy a nice yard to run around in! Roxanne is good on a leash, enjoys he daily walks and looks and acts so much younger than 9…she is ageless! Roxanne is super smart and she has learned her basic commands, will entertain you with her tricks and loves to make you proud! This beautiful Labby girl with the most awesome eyes has learned to be comfortable with cats and even tries to play with the foster kitties. We do still suggest slow-introductions with your cats though. Roxanne is like a little kid, she loves to experience new things and gets very excited and is interested in everything! Miss Roxanne is great with kids and loves all people. She has been in a home with a two year old and does great with the little ones! Roxy is good with other dogs but is happy to be the only dog too. Roxanne is a “pleaser” and it’s easy for her to make people happy. 55 pound Roxanne is totally house trained and also crate trained and she is excellent in the house. Roxy is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Her foster mom says “ Roxanne is a wonderful, wonderful dog who is so eager to get going on experiencing the good life. She desires a family who will give her lots of affection and who give her the leadership she needs to be the best canine citizen she can possibly be” Roxanne craves adventures as much as she craves her cuddle time. A home that will give her the perfect balance between exercise, adventure, discovery and leadership- would be a dream come true for Remarkable Roxanne. About Rain City Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of animal lovers who couldn’t “click off” email pleas any longer . We just started saying YES to dogs in need. Followed by amazing cats in need. We are not breed specific, but do love our Pits and Pit mixes who are always the last in the shelters and first in our hearts. We have connected with great trainers, super adopters and people within the rescue community to build a strong network to help these animals. But we are “DOING IT” and “LOVING IT”. Unlike others, we just jumped in and later decided to talk about it!!

Our Adoption Process...

For our dogs, our process starts first with an adoption application. Our dog adoption application includes references, vet info, home photos and proof of home ownership or landlord contact. Our requirements vary per dog, but we look closely at activity level, yard, time away, previous pets, current pets etc.. During that time they may also have a home visit or long conversation (depending upon the situation of the dog, if warranted) with one of our professional trainers. We deliver the dogs with their quality food, treats, all vet records, training material, resources, etc. We encourage and often require additional training. We keep in communication with our fosters and adopters. We try to do the most to set everyone up to succeed. We are upfront about their commitment, training & responsibilities Adoption fees for our dogs and puppies range from $200 - $600 Great people are certainly out there for our dogs because we are having very good success. The cat adoption process is similar but not as involved. We have a shortened application process. At any time the animal can be returned to us if it doesn't work out. The adoption fees cover a portion of the expenses in spay/neuter, vet care, foster care and boarding for some dogs.
