My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PENNY is a one-year, six-month-old brown and black double-pawed tiger female cat. Penny’s owner unfortunately had a change in life circumstances, and economics dictated that it was best to rehome Penny. Penny is a beautiful girl, and her personality shines strong. She’s very playful, and likes other cats. Penny loves to be talked to, and will tilt her head and listen while you talk to her. She has us laughing, because when you stop to see her she rises, stretches languidly, then bounds right over to spend time with you! Penny’s a lap cat extraordinaire, and her favorite two times of the day are breakfast and dinner. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion, come meet Penny!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon – hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
