Shelby - male, vet checked, neutered, vaccinated to date including Rabies, Heartworm tested (-), dewormed, tx flea preventative, ~ 40lbs/17”, 3.5yrs, Spaniel/English Setter mix
We really aren't sure what Shelby's mix is, we suspect Spaniel and maybe some English Setter, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever has also been suggested. He has a soft silky coat that needs to be brushed regularly, he is about the size of a Duck Tolling Retriever and carries his tail like one, he has the coloring like the Setter and is a little thicker like a Spaniel. He loves the water and will head straight for rivers, streams - any body of water given the chance. He would be in heaven if his owner's could take him swimming in the nice weather. He is very friendly and loves people, he gets along with other dogs but tends to chase cats, he would likely be fine around respectful children of any age. Shelby knows some basic commands and he is house trained, he is also crate trained but would likely be fine given free roam of the house once he has had a little time to adjust to his new place. He is fine to be left alone for typical 9-5 work hours. He loves to run and be with people, he is active and needs at least a 45min-1hour walk each day. He is calm and quiet in the home. Shelby is a good guy who would benefit from some obedience training to really shape him in to the perfect pup. He is a really nice, friendly and social boy who will be a great companion for a loving adopter willing to put a little time in to him. Shelby has recently been groomed as well - thanks to Christine Kay at CK's Pet Grooming in Port Credit/Mississauga. Shelby is best suited to a house with a fenced yard.
