Meet Charlie! Charlie is a very, very handsome young boy whose owner unfortunately has been stricken with illness and unable to provide the quality of life for Charlie that he would like him to have. Charlie would do best in a home that has the time to provide him with an outlet for his energy - he'd love daily walks, treks through the woods and any kind of exciting outing in which he can run about and sniff and explore. He walks well on leash and knows some basic commands such as sit and speak. He has shown some interest in cats -not aggression - but will probably chase them if given the opportunity so a home without cats would be best. He's micro-chipped, neutered and up to date with vaccinations. He's currently being treated for heartworm. Charlie's approximate year of birth is 2014-15 and his weight is around 65 lbs. If interested in learning more about this handsome boy, please email RickyC68@aol.com and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Thank you.

About Smiling Dog Farms- NY Huntington chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.

Our Adoption Process...

Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
