Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lacy Jane is 9 years old (as of 11/28/17) & likes the company of other cats. She loves to play and her favorite toys include wands w/feathers & streamers & bells, stuffed mice, and crinkly Mylar balls. She plays chase & tag with my other cats. Lacy is an overweight, squishy, short-legged girl, and I encourage her playtime! She also loves to watch bird-feeder activity.
Lacy is such a sweet girl; she acts like a big sister or like Florence Nightingale when another cat is vocalizing displeasure. She'll come running to see what's the matter and who needs comforting. I love this compassionate little girl!
Lacey would fit in great with someone who works from home - she's not attention-starved, needing to be in your lap. She doesn't jump up on most furniture, doesn't disturb paperwork, and doesn't chew things like phone charger cords, so she won't compromise your work space. When Lacy Jane wants your attention she gently pat-pats your leg or arm, or gives you a gentle head-butt nudge.
She's typically not very vocal, but she'll quietly express her displeasure with nail trims. Because she's a squishy, round girl, she can use a little help keeping her bum clean, too. She likes to be clean, she just can't quite get beyond her own tummy. She loves to be brushed.
Lacy Jane is a good eater, not very fussy, and she likes the camaraderie of group mealtimes. She knows the mealtime routine & enjoys our nightly, hand-fed "time for treats" routine. She's not really interested in people food except canned chicken or tuna.
Lacy has her favorite snugly spots and enjoys cozy, soft fleece blankets. When she's scared, she'll hide - usually under one of those fleece blankets. She likes the chance to snuggle with you under the covers in bed, too. Lacy would do best in a calm home with a regular routine; small children or frequent doorbell-ringing visitors coming & going would probably be too much stress for her.
Lacy Jane is current on vaccines, spay/neutered and Fiv/Felv tested. Adoption fee for Lacy Jane is waived, as she is now sponsored. If you are interested in adopting Lacy Jane, please fill out an adoption application http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html
