Nelson's Story...
This is Nelson. Estimated to have been born 2/5/17, he looks like a Maltese/Yorkie mix - your guess is as good as ours. Everyone at the vet was trying to guess the breed of this cute little fur ball. He weighs about 4.5 lbs with some pretty big paws so he might get up to 15 lbs. ( just a guess - don't hold us to that - LOL) He has the greenest eyes and the sweetest face. He is one of the most loving little puppies you will ever meet. If you have room in your heart and your home for this handsome boy, please complete an application found at www.RescueAChi.com and we will give you a call.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nelson, a San Diego Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
