Jeffrey is an adorable 7-8 year old dachshund/Chihuahua mix and he wants to be your baby! Jeffrey loves to cuddle and be with his person. He will follow you everywhere, and he would love to be in your arms at all times. Although he loves to be held and carried, he isquite mobile on his own. Jeffrey loves to go on walks, staying right beside you -- unless he sees a squirrel or bird, then it’s game on! He also loves exploring his back yard and napping in the sun. At night Jeffreyloves to sleep right next to his person, staying close and cuddly. Jeffrey is not a fan of riding in the car or being crated.
Jeffrey enjoys the company of other small dogs but we think he would also be fine as the only dog of a loving and attentive owner. He is hesitant about meeting new people but he is fine once he feels comfortable with them. Jeffrey is probably not a good choice for a family with young children. He is ideal for someone in a quiet household who is looking for a devoted companion, friend, and cuddle buddy.
Jeffrey recently had his teeth professionally cleaned. The vet thinks that he needs to lose a bit of weight so his adopter will need to understand that Jeffrey needs to be fed carefully. He is neutered, current on all shots, dewormed, microchipped, and current on Trifexis.
