My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brix 11lb, 5 years old Breed Poodle Adoption fee $350 Female

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Brix – not the most ladylike name, is it?  Feel free to change it.  I am not attached to it.  I just want to be attached to you.  I am a sweet dog who knows her manners.  I don’t shed and the poodle people here are fairly certain I am house trained (I’m not saying for sure.  A girl has to have some secrets).  I just love to go on walks, don’t you?  I like to walk with a bounce in my step and a wag in my tail.  It’s so fun to meet all those people.  I know better than to bother anyone, but I am happy to see them as we pass.  Other dogs and loud noises don’t even make me pause.  I take it all in stride.  And, speaking of stride, I can be patient on a walk, but I really like to keep on keeping on.   Is it really a walk if you’re stopping all the time?  I’ve had some growths on me that are gone now and my hair is growing to cover it up.  They are very common in small, white dogs and are not life threatening.  They are really not a big deal, but I thought I should let you know.  I’m not sure how I feel about very little kids, but slightly older ones are just fine.  I am also good with other dogs, but prefer ones closer to my own size.  I’m only 11 pounds.  Large dogs may be a bit overwhelming.  If you already have a four legged friend, please bring them to meet me.  Maybe we’ll become best friends.

As I lie here in the kennel, I am dreaming of the day I jump in your car and take off for better places.  I’m sure you have a fabulous lap for me to chill on, right?  I can’t wait to meet you!   Please contact these poodle people and let them know you can’t wait to meet Brix.  That will be a match made in heaven!

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped  and spayed/neutered before adoption.
The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form. Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form, a volunteer will contact you promptly. We need your information to match you with the perfect companion. NorCal Poodle Rescue places dogs within northern California only.
