Here's what the humans have to say about me:
From my foster who has been taking great care of me! I came from a hoarding situation in Stockton and am now looking for a forever home:
Jac is such a special guy - so sweet and brave, especially with all that he has been through in his past.
I noticed that Jac had some quirks when I first met him - he holds his arms and legs very stiffly when picked up, and when you go to set him down he "swims" through the air until he gets to the ground. He obviously isn't quite connected to where his body is in space, but the more he is in our home, and the more we interact with him he is getting more and more confident and brave. At first he was very scared to move from one floor texture to another, but now he zooms around the house with ease!
The vet thinks that Jac has some neurological damage either from a virus as a puppy or maybe from malnutrition. Luckily the only symptoms he has are some abnormal posture and irregular movements. He has not had any other symptoms while he has been with us, and if anything, these irregularities just make him more charming! He's just the cutest little baby-deer-dog we've ever seen!
Jac's eyes are also a little cloudy, but his vision seems to be fine. He doesn't run into things and seems to recognize us even from a distance.
Jac is doing great on his house training, and his only annoying quirk is that when he gets excited he tends to nip at ankles or pants, but we are working on that and gets better each day. He knows that his behavior is unwanted he just has to learn more self-control! Jac has come so far in just a week, I know that he will continue to develop and grow and be someone's special love bug!
Update:Jac was adopted by a lovely family, but working two jobs and going to school full time his family had to return him. "He’s happy as can be and was the best dog ever! We are hoping we can find him a forever home again."
