Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ezra is a wonderful sweet 10 year old DNA Female Macaw who likes to cuddle too. Ezra has a small hump back, (Just poor poster) but she is fine in all other aspects in life. She is Healthy, with a good appetite and she has her veterinarian records dating back to 2008. Ezra was well cared for and spoiled, she’s only had one female owner in her young life, and her owner spoiled her with love. Ezra is a little skittish at first, but she loves to be cuddled as she is being gently preened in a quiet environment. She is good with both men and women.
We would prefer that we place Ezra in a home with someone who has Macaw experience, but Ezra is such an easy going gal with a pleasant calm dispassion. We may consider a current parrot owner, who desires a good macaw. Ezra can be skittish at first, then once she learns that she can trust you she warms up like a baby.
Ezra likes to flap her wings for exercise as much as she can. She gets along with other birds and humans once she learns to trust you. Once Ezra settles in, she will start to sing some of her favorite songs like” I just got a set of brand new roller skates”! And more … Ezra has a very large vocabulary, and loves to interact with human conversations too.
Once she settles into her new home, and gets to know you, she will eventually finish your sentences, and laugh at your jokes on cue. Ezra was well loved by her past owner, and she was worked with daily.
Ezra does have a small hunch back which is barely noticeable (it’s just her poster). Ezra also has her current vet records and additional 8 pages of vet records going back to 2009.
*Ezra has had a special Macaw friend named Fernando, a 14 year old male Mila-Gold Macaw she is close friends with. Fernando is tame, and a sweet big baby. We would like to place them both together but it’s not necessary. If you would consider adopting both of them, we will make special arrangements and we’ll reduce their adoption fee, just so they can remain together. *But you must have macaw experience to adopt either one or both.
*We will not place Ezra in a home with children under the age of 17.
* Home visits are mandatory, so delivery is available in most local areas of Washington and Oregon State. An additional transportation fee will be required for those qualified applicants who live more than 25 miles from Portland, Oregon.
