Freddie's Info...

Freddie's Story...
Meet Freddie! Freddie is around 3-years-old, currently weighs 72lbs and came to DHA when his owner was having health issues. He is a handsome boy with a gentle demeanor. He walks well on a harness, knows sit, paw and speak (it's actually hilarious)! His owner also let us know he is crate trained, fine with kids (would do best with older kids due to size), fine with dogs around his size, but would need a home without cats or small animals. He gets attached to people very easily and loves with his whole heart. Could you be the one to get him back into a loving home again?

Freddie is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freddie, a Wilmington Mixed Breed (Large)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mixed Breed (Large)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Mixed Breed (Large)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mixed Breed (Large)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Mixed Breed (Large)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
