Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lynn is 1year old and 18lbs.
Lynn was found as a #stray, and was taken to a city shelter. She was soon adopted, but unfortunately was sent back after just two days, because her previous adopter thought Lynn wasn't housetrained. Lynn was then sent to a foster care, and her foster noticed that Lynn indeed had a bit of trouble with housetraining and was increasingly wary of being touched. It turned out that Lynn was pregnant and her behaviors were due to her pregnancy.
Unfortunately, stress from frequent change of environment and constant meeting of strangers led to miscarriage.
Despite what has happened, Lynn is a social butterfly. Though she occasionally bark at strangers (probably due to her past ill encounters), overall, Lynn loves people and other dogs.
Lynn is UTD on all her shots and is spayed.
Her #adoption fee is $350.
*Lynn is currently in Korea. If you would like to #adopt her, please email donghaepaws@gmail.com with a bit of information about yourself (e.g. your experience as a dog owner, your family and/or other pets, etc.) and your phone number. A HDP volunteer will promptly respond to your email. Thank you!
Prior to rescue, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization and it takes time for them to learn about life as a family pet. Common skills such as house training and leash walking may often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old.
A home check is mandatory before adoption.
We adopt to residents of Northern VA and Washington DC suburbs only.
*** About us ***
Hope For Donghae Paws(HDP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to bringing rescue dogs from Korea to the US and finding permanent homes for them. It is true there are many animal lovers in Korea, but still many dogs suffer and are killed for food.
Our mission is to find US homes for mixed-breed dogs whose chances of being adopted in their native Korea are very low.
