Zoey's Story...
Zoey is 7 pounds and 7 months. Zoey is an adorable little girl who is a bit shy and hesitant at first. Initially, she is nervous of new people, new dogs and new environments, and she may try to run away at first but given a few minutes (and a few cookies) she warms up! . After she warms up she likes to be held and to sit in your lap. She also enjoys walks and relaxing in the sunshine.
Zoey was born in November 2017, and came to the rescue when her family could no longer care for her. She is looking for a quiet place to call home where she can feel safe and secure and cuddle up in the lap of someone she trusts. All she needs is a person or family who will understand her. She is currently being fostered with dogs and cats. While she waits for his own special home, Zoey is working on her leash training, crate training and house breaking.. she is doing wonderful.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Goldens Bridge Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Goldens Bridge, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Goldens Bridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Goldens Bridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Goldens Bridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Goldens Bridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
