Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We know these are not the best pictures of sweet Carrie but we just haven't had time for a photo shoot. Regardless, we hope you can see Carrie's sweetness.
Carrie has had many changes in her life. She was found living in a empty lot with a small puppy.
They were both taken to animal control. The puppy found a home quickly of course, but poor Carrie sat at the shelter scared and alone. A plea was put out to rescues and we responded.
Carrie is timid and shy at first, but will warm up given a little time. It look her about one week to start socializing with the other dogs. They kept asking her to play and she finally joined in. Now she likes playing with her dog friends but she's also good just chillin' on a dog bed or in the yard.
Carrie needs an adopter or family willing to show her love and patience. They will need to encourage her to go for walks and rides in the car to do FUN things. Right now she thinks walks and rides only result in going to scary places like the shelter or to the vet. I promise you if you're willing to invest in this girl's future, she will repay you ten-fold with love. She currently approaches her foster mom for love and will give kisses. If you're willing to lay on the floor and rub her belly, she will be yours forever!
Carrie is spay, up to date on vaccines, tested negative for heartworm and 3 types of tick borne diseases. All of our dogs are also microchipped.
Brittany Rescue AZ offers a two week trial, foster-to-adopt, with all of our dogs. Should you decide Carrie just isn't the right dog we take her back and refund your adoption fee. We take back all our our dogs even after the two week trial.
Our adoption process includes an application (please email us to request) interview, home visit and meet/greet with all members of the family. Email us at britrescueaz@cox.net for an application or more information.
