Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. To meet Louise, visit County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad 92011.
Louise is a spayed female white with black Chihuahua/Pug mix. She is 7 years old and weighs 10.8 lbs. She is called a tripod because she only has three legs. Her right hind leg had to be removed, so although she is a shelter dog, she spent two weeks at a volunteer’s home while she recovered from her surgery (see picture in crate). The volunteer reports that Miss Louise was the perfect house guest!
Louise gets along well with other dogs (see picture on dog bed with friend), but would probably prefer one more her own size if you already have a pooch in your home. She runs to wait at the door any time she needs to go potty. She may be missing a leg, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying her walks, running up and down stairs and jumping up on the couch when invited. The only thing she would like some help with is scratching her right ear and neck – she really appreciates it! She’s potty trained, crate trained and ready to be adored.
She may have been spoiled a bit at her previous home – she prefers food like chicken, ground beef, Vienna sausages and cheese to boring old dog kibble. She also loves to spend her days cuddled up in a cozy nest of blankets and her evenings on the couch by your side.
If you think this little girl may perfect for your home, come and meet her at the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad 92011. Open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Closed Mondays and holidays. Bring these numbers with you for identification: ID: A1773360; Tag: N050.
