"Luna Love Bug"'s Story...
Meet Luna Love Bug! I am a outgoing loving, black & grey buttoned eyed, Pomeranian Chihuahua mix. I weigh 7 pounds, and am a happy little girl that will put a smile on your face. Life is goog and I am happy about everything. I am in good health, but do have slight cataracts which are normal for my age. I am very much a lap dog when tv time comes around. I am very sweet and loving. I also like romping in the grass and going on outings. I was saved from a high-kill shelter and I am about 8-9 years old. I am a senior girl, and everyone falls in love with me, because I have such a beautiful spirit. I belonged to a wheel chair veteran who couldno longer provide for me. He had no choice but to turn me into a overcrowded shelter in CA luckily Seattle based 6dogrees Rescue saved me and brought me to Seattle to find my forever home. I am so excited and can't wait!
I like walks, but move a little slower than the average walker a "stroll" pace is my thing I am smiley, social and like kids, dogs, and cats. I would make a great friend for a semi active senior or calm easy going home. I am a survivor!
I am potty trained & potty-pad trained. I sleep all night, and love to cuddle. I sleep through the night and am not a yapp dog.I am crate trained, and I love to eat. Portion control is a must since I am a bit of a foody. I am a great snuggler and would love to be your lap dog. I am not hyper allergenic & my hair is super soft. I like snuggling with the other dogs at my foster home, and get along great with the cats of the house too. My foster family thinks I am a doll. Grooming is required every 6-7 weeks to keep me looking pretty. My adoption fee is $450. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt.
I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval.
Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance.

6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we “Save it forward”; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs.
6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

"Luna Love Bug", a Seattle Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Chihuahua for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pomeranian/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
