My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is APPLE LILY and I am stuck here again. Somewhere there is the perfect home for me but I just haven’t found it yet. I lived in my first home for years with my brother until our people moved away and left us behind and we came to this shelter. Then my stupid brother got adopted and he left me behind. Then I got adopted and I thought, this will be perfect. However, their expectations and my expectations were apparently not the same, and I “didn’t adjust well”, they said. So here I am again.

Now let’s make a few things clear: I am NOT a lap cat. If you want one of those cuddly creatures to curl up on your lap and purr, then I am not the cat for you. If you want a gorgeous gray cat with a strong personality and a streak of independence, then maybe we can find common ground here. I will live in your house and eat your food, and maybe allow you to pat me. Anything more will require negotiation. If you get too familiar too soon, I will lay down my ears and hiss, but this is all for show. I am not fond of being picked up, but I will respond to bribes. I am looking for reliable humans who can earn my trust, and treat me with respect. If you think you qualify, then come on over and meet me.
