My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DORIE is a shy little toy poodle. Only 2 years old and under 8 pounds, she is looking for some security in a home routine.

At first, take it slow. Let DORIE come to you. She startles very easily to people, noises, and movements, but has warmed up to foster mom quickly. A crate is important as it is her safe place. She goes to her crate on her own. DORIE loves her stuffed toys and playing. She`s a pro at retrieving and bringing stuffed toy back to you. She enjoys her morning walks and walks perfectly on leash. She gets along great with other playful dogs too.

DORIE is currently being fostered in BREVARD county. To learn more about adopting her, go to http://www3.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?DogID=1892

Can't adopt right now? Consider becoming a foster home for a rescue dog; it's temporary, but very fulfilling and your only cost is their food! Fill out a volunteer application from our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM FULL/PART-TIME RESIDENTS OF FLORIDA AS A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN FLORIDA, PLEASE LOOK FOR RESCUE GROUPS IN YOUR HOME STATE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION.
