Katie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Katie's Story...
Katie is about one year old. We believe she is golden ret/lab mix. Katie came to us b/c she got hit by a car and her owners could not afford to treat. She lost her front leg but that does not stop this girl. She is playful, energetic, and happy! Even thought Katie is a leg down, she would do best with an active family. Katie loves people of all ages but her energy level might cause her to unintentionally knock a small child over. Katie is spayed, microchiopped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm tested. She is housebroken and very sweet. If you are interested in any Sparky pet, please go to www.sparkyrescue.com/adopting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Owensboro Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Owensboro, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Owensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
