Mia (ETAA)'s Story...
Hi my name is Mia and I am a one year old, 8 pound Cairn Terrier/Dachshund mix. I have found myself in rescue after my owners decided they no longer wanted me. I was adopted as a puppy from an Atlanta shelter four months ago. I love to bark and I get along with other dogs, but will need some training since I am still a puppy! Won't you add me to your family? I hear there is no place like home ;)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia (ETAA), a Syracuse Cairn Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Syracuse, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Syracuse.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Syracuse already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Syracuse breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Syracuse paves the way for another one to be saved.
