My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ajax  16lb, Male 6 year old Poodle Mix Adoption fee $350.

Ajax is a sweet 6-year- old poodle mix who is quiet and affectionate, but doesn’t demand attention. He has not been around children so far, but may be ok with them, as he pretty much lets the world roll off his back and rarely gets upset about anything. He appreciates any attention he gets, and he loves walks. He has not been walking since his neuter, and gets excited when he sees the leashes coming out. He walked regularly before that, and was good for at least 1 ½ miles, still ready to go further. He also enjoyed trips to the dog park, and socialized well.

Ajax gets along well with other dogs, and rarely bothers the cats. If other dogs are going after them, he watches, but would just as soon walk by them, so he can coexist with cats. He would like to sleep with his human, but can sleep in another room without raising a fuss.

He weighed 16.1 lbs at his neuter, so regular walks would be good for him. I think he could stand to lose a bit, he is solid and has no waistline. He doesn’t have any problem eating around other dogs. I have never seen him play, but any toys I get him are quickly taken by the younger dogs.

Ajax is a good dog for a moderately active family. He is not as active as a puppy or young dog, but still has some pep. He also loves attention and cuddling, but doesn’t make demands for anything—he just looks at you with a hopeful face.

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped  and spayed/neutered before adoption.
