About Hootie's Haven Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a licensed 501c3 animal rescue in NW Georgia. We serve our communities by accepting owner surrenders from owners who for whatever reason, are no longer able to care for their pets. We also assist our communities by taking in dogs from animal control facilities who might otherwise be euthanized. All pets coming into our rescue are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested. If needed we also provide heartworm treatment and recovery time.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold twice monthly adoption events at our closest Petsmart location, as well as Pet Supermarket. We also participate in festivals, parades, and other public events to bring awareness to the public about our available pets, and the importance of spaying and neutering.

Our Adoption Process...

An Adoption Application is completed which includes current pets and veterinarians. Veterinarians are contacted to verify that current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and heart prevention. A visit to the property to confirm fencing is made or a search on Google Earth is conducted to confirm the fencing. Any current pets in the home are introduced to the potentially adopted pet to insure they all are behaviorally compatible.
