My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ricky! He’s a handsome black lab mix with beautiful brown eyes! He’s around 2 years old and weighs 46lbs. Ricky is the sweetest boy and loves to be by your side! He loves when you pet him and will give you nose nudges when you stop! He is currently in a foster home with 3 other dogs that he loves playing with and barely notices the two cats he also shares a home with.

Ricky is housetrained – he has never used the potty in his foster home and knows sit, shake and down. He rarely jumps on people, but he does ”dance” for you when you have a treat for him – just another one of his talents!! Ricky does need leash training since he likes to pull and check everything out – we think using a harness would be beneficial to his learning. He’s not into barking much and has only done it once at his foster home.

Ricky LOVES to play – his favorite thing is tug a war!! He also thinks fetch is pretty fun as well. Ricky LOVES playing in the swimming pool and “drinking” from the water hose.
He shares a home with a 10 year old girl who he absolutely loves and would probably do great with younger kids as well.

Ricky is currently in heartworm treatment and really deserves a 2nd chance at life. He is honestly the perfect dog, playful and well mannered when he needs to be. Ricky would do great in ANY household, he’s that special!
