My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTERED IN: Chicago, IL 60626
AGE: 8 Years (Est DOB: 2009)
WEIGHT: 60lbs
KIDS: Likely
DOGS: Yes
CATS: Unknown

HISTORY:
Suzie was found as a stray. The neighborhood she was found in rallied around Susie and tracked down her owner. When the owner was told that their dog was at CACC they were aware and said she was old and was going to die anyway so she did not plan to reclaim her. The neighborhood stepped into high gear. The person who originally found her on his way to the train offered to become her foster home until she could be adopted. Because Susie had been inside CACC she needed an isolation foster and someone without a dog offered to fill that roll. We promised Suzie she’ll never be unwanted again.

ABOUT:
Susie is an awesome dog. She is about 8 years old, but don’t think she’s over the hill. Her foster home said she is a great mix of active and quiet. She loves her walks and gets to go on three daily, including a brisk hour long walk in the morning. If she gets her walks in she is completely content and chill. Susie is also great when left unattended in the home; she is completely housebroken and non destructive so she has not been crated in her foster home. She does equally well if she is left in one room, or if she has the run of the whole house. Susie does not go on the furniture in her foster home. That could be continued in her adoptive home, but we’re sure she would love to get up on the couch with you if you want that too.

Susie lives with another dog and they get along great. They aren’t BFF’s but they will occasionally play together. Suzie wouldn’t be bothered by another dog, but she does not need another dog in the home to be happy. People make her world go ‘round. She loves to do anything with her people: walks, rides, watching TV, if you’re going to be there you can count her in. Her foster family used the following words to describe her: Sweet, Obedient, Active, Funny, Loving. They said she is incredibly sweet and loving and loves to follow them around the house. There is not one bad thing we can say about Susie!
