Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Duke is a 13 year old purebred mini dachshund that was surrendered by his owners. He suffered a disc rupture several years ago which left him with a very wobbly gait. He is also a bit incontinent (stool) but he is housebroken and will go to the door..
He also suffers from irritable bowel syndrome which only flares up when he is stressed. Duke is a very loving little dog. He wants to be with his people all the time. He was very upset about losing his previous owner so we are looking for a very stable caring family or individual for him.
A person that works from home or is not gone all day would be perfect for him. Duke gets along with other dogs but we are not sure about cats. Would prefer a home with older gentle children.
Due to his stool incontinence it would be best if he wore a diaper at night to prevent accidents.
If you would love to open your heart and home to adopt or forever foster this sweet special needs boy please call John at 586-819-9347 or you can email Marie.
A veterinary reference is an absolute must. There is no adoption fee for Duke and medication will be provided by the rescue.
