Zoey (Spayed)'s Story...
Zoey is a beautiful 2-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on May 18, 2017.

This little sweetheart has a sleek black long smooth coat, a long tall and an adorable face with a black button nose and large golden eyes. Zoey has a lovable, affectionate personality. She cannot understand why she is sitting alone in a small cage. Our kind kennel techs are doing their best to make sure she gets extra TLC and is made to feel welcome.

Zoey was given vaccinations and wormer on May 18, 2017. She has already been spayed, so she could leave the shelter immediately with an approved adoption application. Zoey (and all of our HSOV kitties) are also available for foster- or rescue.

Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email ( We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
