Pedro's Story...
"Hi, my name is Pedro. I am a sweet, active, playful Chihuahua mixed puppy, born January 5, 2017. I will always be a small dog, as I currently weigh 5.9 pounds.
I was rescued from a breeding house, being very sick, but now I am a well, healthy and happy little boy!
I am current on all vaccinations and have been started on monthly heart-worm prevention medication. I am scheduled to be neutered on May 23 and am good-to-go after that. I am currently learning to be housebroken. I could be an only dog, but I get along with other dogs and cats, and all people.
For more info, to receive an adoption application, and/or to set up a time for a meet and greet, please contact my foster home at 901-396-5926 or email at revsofmathew@earthlink.net."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pedro, a Memphis Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
