Juliet's Story...
Juliet is a lovely Lab mix about 1.5 years old and weighing almost 42 pounds.  This black beauty had suffered a broken hip before she was rescued by our sister organization in Mexico and as a result she walks with a slight limp.  She has had surgery and physical therapy and she gets around just fine playing with all the other dogs she meets.  She has a wonderful personality and loves her humans too.  Juliet is not a fan of cats however.  She has been spayed, dewormed and fully vaccinated.   Juliet has made her way into foster care in the Victoria/Vancouver BC area where she awaits a permanent family of her own.  Be sure and check out the video of this sweet girl.  If you are interested in adopting this beautiful lady, contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juliet, a Vancouver Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
