Molly's Story...
Meet Molly! This pretty girl was pulled from a kill shelter where she had been owner surrendered with 9 other dogs. All 10 appeared to be fairly well taken care of (not thin) but had not been to a vet, did have fleas and ticks, and were not fixed. All of the pups are now altered and fully vetted. We were grateful to learn that they are heart worm negative, and are now on prevention.

All of the pups have been initially shy at their foster home, but are coming around well. Dobby is one of the more adaptable and is already coming up to be petted and loved on. The prior owner who took them to the shelter said the dogs were Chihuahuas, but only one of them actually looked like a full or almost full Chihuahua. The others appear to be Rat Terrier or Jack Russell Terrier mixed with some Chihuahua.

If you think you might like to give this deserving pup a home, please visit our website: www.jojosdoghouse.com and download an application, or email jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you an application. Adoption fee is $250, which includes spay, heart worm and parasite prevention, up-to-date vaccinations and microchip with lifetime registration.

Please visit our Facebook page JoJo's DogHouse (non-profit) to learn more about us and see many of the dogs we have rescued. We hope you'll join JoJo's family of adopters!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Molly, a Gallatin Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Gallatin, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Gallatin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gallatin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gallatin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gallatin paves the way for another one to be saved.
