Facts about Rose

  • Color: Cream
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Standard
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Unknown
Rosalia (now named Rose) was recently in OC Animal Care & was slated to be euthanized. Save SomeBunny Rabbit Rescue felt she needed a chance at life so she was pulled from the shelter & taken her to the vet. It looks like her incisors may need removal and she has a mass in her chest.

UPDATE: After chest surgery and several months in foster care, Rose is ready for adoption! The cancer has not returned so it is unlikely that it will. Rose will need periodic tooth trims but her incisors do not need to be removed. If you are willing to give a home to a sweet, smart, cuddly SURVIVOR, come meet Rose and fall in love!

Call her foster mom Kim from 9am to 8pm at (949) 554-9007 to learn more about Rose.

About Save SomeBunny Rabbit Rescue, inc

About Our Rescue Group...

Save SomeBunny Rabbit Rescue, Inc. was established in 2014 by a small group of rabbit lovers who met while volunteering at the Irvine Animal Care Center. Over time we saw that rabbits with treatable medical conditions were sometimes candidates for euthanasia because the expense for cure, maintenance, or even end-of-life hospice would be too great for municipal animal shelters to justify.

We formed a non-profit 501c (3) rescue organization run entirely by volunteers to provide medical care and rehabilitation for Orange County shelter rabbits. Our goals include the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of treatable rabbits, plus public education regarding proper rabbit care.

We rely on public donations. 100% of monies go directly to our bunnies to pay for veterinary care, drugs & medical supplies, hay, pellets, fresh greens, housing, spay/neuter, advertising, event supplies, office supplies, toys and other needed environmental enrichments. The rabbits are housed with foster families during their treatment, rehabilitation, and while waiting for their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to complete a pre-adoption questionnaire, and to meet our bunny prior to adoption. If our rabbit is to be a companion to an current pet rabbit, we require that they meet prior to finalization of the adoption. The current pet must be spayed/neutered at least four weeks prior to the "bunny date". This introduction can take place at an adoption event, the adopter's home, or our foster's home. Fees are $60 ($100 for a bonded pair) and all rabbits are spayed/neutered and microchipped.
