  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Mimi and Bucky were found on Christmas day, wandering the streets of Bakersfield CA together. They are a truly bonded pair and just absolutely cannot live without each other. Because it can be hard to find a home for two dogs at once, Mimi and Bucky were in boarding since Christmas. They've recently been moved to a great foster home in Reno, NV. Mimi is a Black Mouth Cur and Bucky is a Jack Russell mix. They are good with kids, Bucky is good with other dogs but, Mimi can be selective. Mimi is also a little shy with people but, she does warm up quickly and once she is comfortable will get very attached and is very loving. Bucky just loves everyone and everything, he is a total clown. Mimi and Bucky are the perfect way to jump right into a dog family! They are so in love with each other, Mimi is Bucky’s pillow and, they snuggle together all the time. They want to be together all the time so, if you kennel when you leave them home or at night, they want to be in the same kennel. Because they've been in boarding for so long, we are unaware if they are housetrained. This bonded pair needs an adopter, foster to adopt. or long term foster to keep them together and get them out of the kennel. Can you help us help them?
Please complete our adoption application at the following link and we will contact you to talk it over. Thank you for considering a bonded pair.

About Imagine Peace for Pups

About Our Rescue Group...

Imagine Peace for Pups Rescue started as an independent rescue. Lisa Clark our founder started networking dogs in high kill shelters through Facebook, in 2012.. she knew that rescue was the path her life was going to take. In 2013 Lisa Nelson, a high school friend saw a little dog that Lisa Clark had shared on FB and offered to foster to get him out of the shelter. Little Dobby was the first dog that was rescued from a shelter under what we know today as Imagine Peace for Pups Rescue -and that's when the Lisa's decided to officially start a rescue. Without much money in the bank, they filed for and were approved as a federal 501(c)3 non-profit charity.

IPFP is an all foster rescue. Without foster homes and donations, lives cannot be saved. Currently IPFP has 20+ fosters in WA and Or and they are always looking for loving homes to join the family.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster based system. And will be pleased to have our fosters meet you by appointment with the pets if location allows.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application and submit to a home visit by one of our volunteers. If all goes well and we choose to adopt to them they must fill out and sign an adoption agreement. Our fee is $300.00 per adult and $325 per puppy. The fee includes up to date on vaccines (except Bordetella), vet evaluation, worming, micro chip, and spay and neuter if the dog is old enough. If the dog is too young, adopters must fill out a spay/neuter agreement and provide a $100.00 refundable deposit. If we do not get proof of spay/neuter by the time the dog is six months old, our contract states that we may reclaim the dog.
