We call this litter the Lucky 7 because there are seven puppies who are
very lucky to be alive. They belonged to a family who had 10 adult dogs that just seemed to keep a steady stream of puppies reproducing. When everything was suddenly quiet for a few days, the old lady who lived next door grew a bit concerned. She ventured over to find that the people had moved, all furnishings gone . . . and all 10 dogs locked inside the house, no food, no water. Among the pack was one momma dog who had just weaned her 7 babies. Horrified, she grabbed all 17 canines and brought them to her property. While the dogs are in the process of getting to rescue, these babies started moving in 7 different directions -- just too much for an old woman to handle. So she contacted us to help, we brought them up to CT and now all 7 Lucky babies are ready for their new lives with some very Lucky Families!
Hickory is the total show-stopper of the litter! With his breathtaking coloring, build in extra time on your walks because you are sure to be stopped everywhere you go. He is playful with everyone, extremely friendly, and we think he believes he is the cutest (he may be right!!) He's being fostered in a home with kids, lots of love, food, and TLC. Hickory LOVES everyone: kids, dogs and even cats His mom was kind of a "mini-Golden" (her photo is above) and his dad was the 75-pound Catahoula. He's about 8 weeks old, and he is a healthy boy!
