Facts about Jess

  • Breed: Domestic Longhair
  • Color: Tan Or Fawn
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
Jess came to our rescue from a county shelter. She was picked up as a stray and never claimed. Jess is an older girl (likely 8-10 years old) who must have had a good home and proper veterinary care at one point in her life. Jess had all of her teeth surgically removed (possibly due to stomatitis) but all is well healed and she eats like a champ. Jess is super loving and would love a home with a soft bed to sleep.

Jess is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, feline leukemia/AIDS negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative. To meet her, please visit our adoption center at PetSmart, 55 Boston Post Road, Orange or visit our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org to complete an adoption application. Adoption donation $125

About Halfway Home Rescue Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Halfway Home Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals and providing a safe haven for these animals until a permanent home can be found. While in our care, these animals are examined by a veterinarian and given proper medical attention (including spay/neuter). Animals deemed “un-adoptable” become a part of our sanctuary and live out their natural lives under the care of volunteers and trusted veterinarians at Halfway Home Rescue Inc.

Halfway Home Rescue is comprised of a very small group of volunteers dedicated to making a difference. We operate 100% on private donations. In 2015, more than 500 cats and dogs passed through our doors.

All of the animals currently residing at Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. have been examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, tested for contagious diseases, and are up to date with vaccinations PRIOR TO ADOPTION.

The animals that come to us have suffered lives of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We do not have any knowledge of their history prior to entry into HHR. Our goal is to place each animal in a home that most suits its needs. Please email us for an adoption application. The application is also available on our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org. Once completed, we will set up an appointment for you to meet each of our animals looking for homes. If a match is made, you will fill out an adoption contract and receive all of the medical papers for your new pet.

All donations are tax deductible.

All of the animals currently residing at Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. have been examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, and are up to date with vaccinations. Each has been treated for fleas, worms, and ear mites as needed. Most of the animals that come to us have suffered lives of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Our goal is to place each animal in a home that most suits its needs. Please email us for an adoption application. This will need to be completed before any visit to our shelter. Once completed, we will set up an appointed time for you to meet each of our animals looking for homes. If a match is made, you will fill out an adoption contract and receive all of the medical papers for your new pet. We request a minimum $150 adoption donation per adult cat ($175 for kittens) and $400 per adult dog ($500 for puppies) to help defray veterinary expenses.
