My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHIEF HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Meet Chief, an adorable, sweet, gentle and affectionate 5-month-old male mixed breed pup. We aren't really sure what breeds make up this little sweetheart. He looks like a Shepherd but he is very small for his age. At 5 months old, he only weighs about 20 pounds. We are expecting his adult size to be around 35-40 pounds, so he'll be a nice medium sized adult perfect for urban dwelling. Chief was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. He was originally found as a stray, so hard to imagine a little guy like Chief being left to fend for himself. He was in pretty bad shape when found, almost completely bald, skin and bones. Despite his condition, Chief never lost his cheerful disposition and is always eager to meet new friends. Chief was diagnosed with demodex, a non-contagious skin mite, very common in puppies. Chief has responded very well to treatment and now has almost all his fur back! He's now healthy, happy and ready to meet his forever family.
