Sunny has a sunny personality! She smiles and is so happy to be safe with her daughters. She is a wire haired girl of some sort and about 2 years old. Breed listed is best guess. She is loving and sweet and wants to sit in your lap and watch tv with you in the evenings and be your buddy. She gives sweet little kisses. Like her daughter Chickpea, I doubt she's ever been inside but I'm sure she would learn house manners fast if it means being next to you. One thing I know for sure - No goats so I assume other farm animals may not be a good match either. Sunny will be a great family addition. Is your family ready for her? Apply at

Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Rescue Road Trips to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $170 adoption and $185 transportation = $355. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

About Katie's Roadside Rescue - Danbury Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

All dogs in KRR will be fully vetted and microchipped prior to adoption. Because of KRR's mission, all dogs must come back to this rescue so they never have to worry about being dumped along the road again.
Katie's Roadside Rescue is a no kill 501c3 non-profit organization with the mission of rescuing dogs left to fend for themselves. If they cannot be caught, at a minimum food and water is left for them. KRR currently does not accept owner surrenders nor do we pull from kill shelters. There seems to be plenty on the side of the road at this time.

Donations and volunteers are the heart and core of KRR and we could not function without the generous help from others. Please click on the PayPal link on the left to make donations toward our dogs' medical and housing needs. All support is greatly appreciated and needed. Financial information is posted on this site so you know where your donations are being used. We are willing at any time to provide you with information and to show that all funds are used for the animals in rescue.

Our Adoption Process...

You fill out an application at and we will call your references, vet and then be in touch to answer any questions you have about our dog. We may be able to provide videos and more pictures. We will then move toward the steps of setting up the transport for Delivery!! Simple and Fast!! Adoptions in Danbury are $385 which covers the adoption fee and transportation fee.
