Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rex is a beautiful, shy 7 yrs dachshund and about 10 lbs. He is a total love bug once he knows you, but is very anxious and afraid of people he doesn’t know, loud noises, other unfamiliar animals, etc. He needs a quiet home without a lot of distractions. When calm, he is sweet, affectionate dog, aching for attention. He loves to go for rides, He plays some ball. He gets along with other animals that he’s been introduced to. He will bark at strangers passing by. He will make a wonderful pet for someone that has time to bond with him and give him the attention he craves. Uses doggy door for outdoor needs. Eats calmly but will shy away from food if another animal approaches or any loud noises. He knows his name and responds if not intent on something more interesting.
He would do very well with a similar size alpha dog that likes to play.
