My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Walter and the humans think I'm about 2 years old. I was a stray and found my way to CEBR just in time as I am very skinny and so hungry! I'm only 40 pounds right now, but I need to gain at least 10 in order to be at a healthy weight. This doesn't stop me from being the happiest boy around though! My foster family says that I am all puppy energy which means I am always underfoot and next to them to see what they're doing (and sneak in some attention and pets!). When I first arrived, I was pottying all over because I didn't know, but very fast I learned that I'm supposed to go outside. I've been told I'm going to be neutered this week, and I don't know what that means but if it involves a car ride, I'm in.

The humans think I may have been a mill dog previously based on some of my behaviors, but I'm learning to live in a home and I love it. I am not interested in toys at all, though the humans are trying because they say it's good for my teeth. I am good around other dogs and children, and I love to play. Right now, I have my own special room when I am alone during the day and I am generally very good but I do get lonely. Luckily my walker comes midday for a break, but I still miss my people. I love walks and am very good on a leash. I don't know any commands so I would definitely benefit from structured training in my forever home. They keeping on saying "sit" but I don't know what that is so I just jump up to say hi to them instead. Sometimes I get too excited and need a time out but I am quickly learning what I am supposed to do if I want more human attention
