Marco's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Marco's Story...
At this time we will only consider applicants who reside in the Memphis area (Shelby, Desoto, Tipton, Fayette or Crittenden counties) and who can provide a vet reference.

Marco is approximately 5 months old and was turned into a local animal shelter as a stray. He is currently in a foster home with children ranging in age from 5 to 18 years. Marco also shares his foster home with 3 dogs and a cat. While he loves to play with everybody, the cat is his favorite playmate (with the 5 year old being a close second) ... they chase and wrestle until they both fall asleep.

Marco has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. He has been started on Heartgard and Frontline. While Marco is doing really well with house training, he is still a baby and can be expected to have a few accidents. He is accustomed to being crated overnight and when no one is home, and he does not potty in his crate.

If you are interested in adopting Marco, please complete the online application on our website. Go to www.midsouthcockerrescue.com. Please note that you must answer all of the questions on the application in order to have your application considered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marco, a Memphis Cocker Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
