My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Carter. I am a male dog estimated to be 2 years old and a Mountain Cur mix weighing 54 pounds. I recently arrived at Gail's Pets after having been found abandoned. I arrived with another dog that appears to be my littermate (Cash). The people here at the rescue were told by the people who found us that they had had us for 2 months but no family came forward. They said we got along fine until a couple of days before they contacted Gail.

When I first arrived here I was afraid of everyone. I would lay in a corner and growl, but I would not snap. Anyway, everyone took their time with me and spent time approaching me slowly. I think I was just scared of everything and everyone being so new. But now my tail is always wagging. I love all of the volunteers and I especially love going for walks.

I am looking for a home where I can be king - meaning no other dogs. So far I'm not a fan of other dogs so it would be best. Perhaps you'd like to call Gail and speak with her about me. I am a sweetheart and will be your best buddy.
