Making himself comfortable on the couch, elegant Pullo is 122 pounds of puppy-like happiness and energy. Loving and playful, he gets along well with older children and other dogs, likes sticks and toys, and is known at the dog park as the gentle giant. Because he thrives on being VERY active, his daily exercise routine includes several long walks, both on and off leash, on the trails near his home, and running loose in the fenced backyard. Obedience trained, among the many commands he knows are 'sit', 'stay', 'gentle', 'no', 'trade', 'lie down', and 'shh'. An excellent passenger in the car, Pullo stands during rides and enjoys having the window open. House, but not crate trained, he’s allowed to roam free in various parts of the house (someone is usually home, but he’s fine when left unattended), and sleeps in a bed in the master bedroom. Very protective of his family, he alert barks, is fearful of loud noises, and wary of new situations and new people (he appears less anxious around people with dogs). Now precious Pullo is being surrendered to us because his caring owners feel he would benefit from an experienced adopter who has a farm or other large property along with another dog or two for activity and companionship.
