Shay's Story...
Shay is a sweet, sweet girlie with a very rough past. We have traced her history back through a few different owners and shelters, and none of them ever treated her for the mange she has apparently had for some time. By the time we got her out of the shelter, this girl was a bloody mess who could barely walk and desperately needed medical attention for the raw, cracked, and bleeding state of her skin and paws. She is currently being treated weekly by a vet and is being monitored closely.

We are accepting applications for Shay, however she will be on medical hold until her mange is completely treated and she is not in any pain.

We will continue to update her info as we learn more about this little girl who has endured so much and yet forgives humans and still gives hopeful kisses in spite of all she has had to go through.

If you would like to make a donation to help with her medical expenses, a pay pal link is available on the website.

If you are interested in adopting Shay, please visit the rescue website and drop us an e-mail for an update.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shay, a Denver Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Denver, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
