Sierra's Story...
Feel that rejuvenating mountain breeze relaxing all your troubles away? That's the same experience you'll have petting our kitty Sierra! She's a beautiful white and brown tabby with the softest coat in the world. Petting her is like taking a spa day! Sierra is 7 1/2 years old, and she was adopted from ACL as a kitten. Sadly, her adopters found they no longer had time for her, so Sierra is looking for a true forever home. Sierra is a lovely cat - affectionate, playful but not crazy, easygoing, and great with other cats and kids. She grew up with another kitty and an infant, and she did wonderfully with both. Sierra had a tough time re-adapting to shelter life, but who can blame her? She's finally relaxed and showing us her true colors - and she's a rainbow of love! Come meet our resident relaxation machine today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Oak Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
