My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption fee on this dog is $300.

Stazzi is a 9 - 10 month old female with a black coat and golden eyes. She was pulled from a local shelter, where she had been picked up as a stray. When her stray hold was up, she came into Rescue, and was found to be in need of minor eye surgery to correct an inverted eye lid. She loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home, and her best friend is Bella Luna, another available for adoption GSD. Her energy level is moderate for a dog of her age.

Stazzi is housebroken, crate trained, and rides well in a car. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night in her foster's bedroom, and settles nicely on her dog bed while in the house. As a typical puppy, she will still chew on shoes, or clothing that are in reach if left to her own. She likes to play with the garden hose, so irrigation systems in the yard may be of some interest to her too. She is currently being fostered on a farm setting where she is free to roam around the property. She doesn't stray too far from the house, and has a good recall. She gets along very well with all the other dogs in her foster home, but tends to interact more with the younger, playful ones. Stazzi enjoys swimming in the pond and chasing birds that land on the ground. She has not been cat tested.

Stazzi is a typical German Shepherd smart girl, and will push the boundaries to see what she can get away with. She will need someone who can set boundaries, give clear directions, show leadership, and not be hesitant to correct her when needed.

She will play fetch, but doesn't have a strong enough ball drive to be a working dog. Stazzi is affectionate, and friendly and has been the perfect dog to appear in the Rescue's kissing booth at public events.

Stazzi would do best in an active household with another playful dog. She would excel in obedience training, and make a great family dog, with a family who understands the leadership typical German Shepherds require.
