Jacks's Story...
I win, I win!! For my prize I would like…a loving and patient person to take me in and call me their own. I‘m smart, sensitive, curious, and enjoy taking things slow. I’m a true lil gentleman so long as you treat me gently and with respect. I do get along well with other dogs, enjoy the occasional cat chase, and will enjoy the attention of children 10+ who are able to understand a scared boy like me. I wish I could sit down and chat with you for hours, tell you all the places I’ve been and the roads I have traveled, but being found as a stray there’s just not much I can say. I can promise you that I will try my very best to make you happy as can be. So how about you provide me with a long-term commitment to training, socializing, and lots of love. In return I will provide you a lifetime of companionship. Sounds like you’re the real winner! Who’s up for a good game of Jacks? 2 years old-15lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacks, a Portland Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Portland, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
